METIS
Future-Proofing Medical Education through Emerging Technologies for Enhanced Social Resilience
About METIS
METIS is a 2-year Erasmus+ KA2 project in the Higher Education sector (2026-2028).
METIS aims to future-proof medical education by strengthening competences in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual Reality (VR), and simulations, to enhance digital readiness, ethical awareness, and social resilience among students and staff.
Through a series of activities, METIS aims to develop and validate the METIS Toolkit for technologically advanced and society-oriented medical education. The project also seeks to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among students through challenge-based learning and the co-creation of a prototype for a future Master’s programme in Medicine at the University of Luxembourg.
Key project outcomes:
• Lecture series & hands-on workshops;
• METIS Toolkit;
• Preparatory hackathon for students;
• Winter school;
• Digital storytelling series;
• Prototype for the future Master’s programme in Medicine at UNILU;
