University of Milano Bicocca

University of Milano-Bicocca (UNIMIB) is a young public, state-funded, academic institution, established in 1998, strongly committed towards higher education, research, and innovation. Part of the European Universities Association (EUA), it includes fourteen Departments, in the fields of ICT, Educational Sciences, Economics, Business Administration and Management, Law, Mathematics, Physics and Natural Sciences, Medicine, Psychology and Sociology.

Departments are complemented in their research activities by more than 58 university and inter-university research centers, together with interdepartmental platforms and facilities hosted at the University premises. With about 1180 teachers and researchers and 930 administrative and technical staff, UNIMIB has a wide training offer, with 32 Bachelor’s Degree courses, 34 Master’s Degree courses and 5 Long-cycle Master’s Degree courses. Out of the 38.000 enrolled students, about 2500 are international, favoured also by an intense mobility programme featuring Erasmus students from all over Europe and exchange ones all over the world.

Prof. Paola Alberti (MD)

Assistant professor

 

Paola Alberti specializes in peripheral nervous system disorders, particularly chemotherapy-induced peripheral neurotoxicity (CIPN). She is an active member of the Toxic Neuropathy Consortium within the Peripheral Nerve Society and has completed fellowships at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Baltimore. Her research includes a PhD in Neuroscience from the University of Milano-Bicocca, focusing on oxaliplatin-induced neurotoxicity and advanced neurophysiological techniques.
