Web2Learn is a research and development (R&D) partner of international reach that offers quality digital learning and professional training solutions and services. The company is located in Thessaloniki, Greece, and the team is composed of eight highly qualified people. 

The company specialises in: a) Socially-oriented and data-driven professional training of academic communities, and b) Civic engagement and advocacy in knowledge building. Web2Learn brings expertise in digitally-enhanced civic engagement in medical research, known as patient science. It has designed and implemented over 55 EU-funded projects in which it carries out initiatives that build civic engagement skills and attitudes of university students and staff by integrating participatory approaches and tools (e.g. citizen science projects, academia-driven social actions) that strengthen academia’s social role and mission.

Katerina Zourou

Director of Web2Learn

 

 

Katerina Zourou, Ph.D, is a recognised researcher in the area of technology-enhanced education, focusing on open and social learning. She has produced one scholar book (Palgrave/ MacMillan), 3 journal special issues and more than 30 peer reviewed papers at international journals and conference proceedings. Katerina also gives lectures at universities, including the Hellenic Open University, and the University of Grenoble Alpes. She is regularly invited to give talks or to participate in expert panels (European Commission, EU Joint Research Centre, EACEA, Council of Europe, European and Asian Universities, etc.).

Korina Defteraiou

Education and Outreach Executive


Korina specialises in educational activities and programs that foster inclusion and diversity, promote lifelong learning and raise awareness of social and educational challenges. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpretation from the Ionian University and she holds two Master’s degrees: the first in European Studies from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the second in Cultural Management, Communication and Media from the Panteion University. She has experience in grants management and strong project management skills as she is a certified project manager in agile methodology (DASM) by the Project Management Institute.
